Regarding the term sociocultural, its origin has to look at the object of his speech: the sociocultural, which as noted RIPOLL S (1997), society and culture are the cornerstones on which humanity progresses, education being a tool of that progress. The socio-cultural expression, of French origin, is relatively recent. It spread from the sixties as a kind of educational intervention that sought to address, through culture, to the needs of citizen participation in social, political and economic community. Since its emergence has been a great difficulty in defining the concept, this is due to its heterogeneity, as it includes practices, institutions, areas, facilities and diverse functions. This variety has resulted in almost as many definitions as authors write about it, definitions in turn determined by the way of understanding society, culture and ideology of each. For TRILLA (1998) sociocultural animation is the set of actions by individuals, groups or institutions on a community (or a section thereof) and in the context of a specific territory, with the primary purpose of promoting its members attitude of active participation in the process of their own development both socially and culturally. ANDER-EGG (2000) states that "there when promoting socio-cultural and mobilize human resources, through a participatory process that develops the latent potential in individuals, groups and communities." UNESCO defines the socio-cultural as the set of social practices that are intended to encourage initiative and participation of communities in the process of their own development and the global dynamics of socio-political life in which it is integrated. Yanapaythani ASC defines as a: STRATEGY FOR COMMUNITY WORK MAKING THE MOOD OF THE PEOPLE FROM THEIR SOCIO-CULTURAL PERSPECTIVE FOR CREATING A SOCIAL CHANGE FOR YOUR HEALTH and the area of education such as: EDUCATION STRATEGY THAT MAKES THE STUDENT MAKING YOUR MIND FROM ITS SOCIO-CULTURAL PERSPECTIVE ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE.
