Bob Noakes describes the period as poverty, equipment makeshift, disorganization and severe personality clashes between Dj's and staff offices. According to Noakes and Tony Blackburn, some of the equipment was purchased on cr and were never paid, ships abastenc an stations constantly had to change ports to prevent the assaults. Noakes said that some of the best Loving Awareness promotions were made when the DJs were the worst arguments. Noakes fought to keep the station to air despite the poor condition of equipment, describing the difficult days in the terrible weather, attended mostly by angloparlantes but never by Dutchmen, who apparently regarded the maintenance work for them. When eventually the station was operational and could be airing many of the DJs were under the influence of marijuana. Finally in 1974 some of the staff planned a cup, which include off the boat, sailing to the coasts of Belgium near the boat the MV Janiene Radio Atlantis and continue broadcasting regular programs of Radio Caroline and Radio Mi Amigo in such a way that no one notice that was actually happening. Noakes and his followers conspirators planned to advance a daytime simulcast to 389 meters (773 kHz) broadcast in a Top 40 program which would attract greater attention, while retaining Caroline rock album format with 259 during the late evening. However, the plan was discovered, Noakes was fired and took a job with RNI, noting that the backstabbing and disorganization in Caroline continued.
